Jeremiah Bostwick is a freelance photographer. He started taking imagery in 2010 and decided to make portraiture his career in 2013. During that time he has interned with some of the best photographers in the industry such as Dean Bradshaw, Kremer/Johnson (consisting of Neil Kremer & Cory Johnson), and Jay Bartlett. In various ways they helped to develop his craft.
It didn’t start this way however. Originally Jeremiah planned on working in the high pressure business world in marketing. In 2009 he graduated from California State University Polytechnic Pomona with dual BS degrees in International Business Administration and Marketing Management. He quickly found out that working towards careers he didn’t have a passion for created burn-out.
Burn-out he did. It didn’t take long for Jeremiah to make the assessment that it was better to be poor and live passionately than pursue a career in something he wasn’t built for and was dispassionate about. Since then he’s surrounded himself with other creatives that love their craft. Jeremiah now works full time as a portrait photographer capturing other workers in the industry such as singers, songwriters, rappers, dancers, musicians, and actors. He specializes in environmental portraiture and headshots using both natural and artificial light sources.
